Who We Are

Continuity Care is a not-for- profit organization dedicated to supporting families in Manitoba to plan for an enriched quality of life for their family member with an intellectual disability. We help families achieve peace of mind by planning for the future and creating connections that last a lifetime.

The work we do with, and on behalf of, families is the foundation of our organization. Our staff and volunteers operate on our core values of advocacy, knowledge, relationships, inclusion and community in all that we do.

My experience in the business world and as a volunteer for people with disabilities has encouraged me to reflect on their quality of life. I believe Continuity Care helps families to realize their dreams for the family member with a disability. I am proud of my personal and corporate involvement.

Double your donation to Continuity Care!

For our first “A Suite Deal” fundraising event, Bob Williams generously matched donations up to $20,000. With his donation we raised $42,700!
At the cheque presentation, we learned about Bob’s philanthropy, and he learned more about Continuity Care. He surprised everyone by announcing that he would match all donations to Continuity Care up to $30,000/year for the next 3 years!!!
Bob believes in never underestimating the small donations. They are just as important as the large ones, and he loves to see that on the donation reports. If you are thinking about donating to a charity, remember that your donation doubles at Continuity Care. Every donation over $10 receives a donation receipt.

I was told to institutionalize my daughter Justine because she was born with Down Syndrome. It was two years before I was given the diagnosis. From then on I had two purposes in life. My first goal was to educate Justine and give her a decent life; the second was to prepare the supports for the time when my husband and I have passed away. Continuity care is an integral part of these supports.
